Position Summary

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for client management, finding creative solutions and doing great work. You should have a strong background in managing affiliate/partnership programs for Fortune 100 companies.

The Account Manager role will sit on the New York-based Partnerships/Affiliate team and will serve as a client point of contact for some of the world’s largest enterprise brands. You will also partner closely with the Director of Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering results for the client by bringing fresh out-of-the-box ideas, effectively managing key client objectives, partner relations and monitoring program performance

  • Assist with the growth of Matterkinds partnerships/affiliate practice through business development efforts
  • Oversee Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting: Manage client budgeting process, as well as monthly/weekly/daily forecasting and reporting
  • Lead strategic partner recruitment
  • Effectively communicate performance to the client and wider team with strategic direction for the program
  • Be prepared to present, justify and defend all recommendations to the client
  • Provide recommendations for scale and/or efficiency within campaigns
  • Develop, grow, foster and maintain strong strategic and tactical relationships with existing partners
  • Formulate and test new tactics
  • Represent Matterkind at industry events
Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience within the affiliate industry (client-facing agency or network experience is a plus) 
  • Experience working with top-tier brands across multiple markets
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and comprehension skills
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects – ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and structure workload
  • Ability to work independently while effectively communicating and delegating to teammates in multiple locales
  • Strong proficiency in digital trends and best practices
  • Passion for the emerging media and the digital marketplace in general – demonstrates interest and initiative to test new partner types and tactics
  • Strong proficiency with affiliate networks and SaaS technology platforms
  • Experience with third-party affiliate tracking platforms
  • An understanding of the wider digital advertising eco-system
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Positive outlook, proven ability to handle pressure
