Position Summary

The Senior Accountant, Kinesso Global is a dynamic, high exposure, hands on role that will report to the Accounting Manager & support various accounting functions across Acxiom, Kinesso and Matterkind (“AKM”). As a key member of the Network Controllers team, this position will be primarily responsible for the timely and accurate submission of Network monthly reporting deliverables, preparation and review of Income Statement and Balance Sheet Variance Commentaries, and ensuring Network’s compliance with related US GAAP and IPG Standard Policies and Procedures. This role will also work alongside the Accounting Manager in providing accounting guidance to local markets and investigating ad-hoc accounting and control matters identified globally. The ideal candidate will be someone with a core accounting background and problem-solving abilities, experience in a company with global or advertising-related operations, great interpersonal skills, and the desire/ability to work with all levels throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

§  Integral role in the Network’s monthly/quarterly close process, including consolidating and reporting Kinesso and Acxiom Worldwide financial statements to IPG Corporate, as well the preparation and review of various other reporting deliverables.

§  Perform analytical reviews during the close process to identify potential issues. Work closely with regional/local finance personnel to review Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts in order to understand key drivers of fluctuations in account balances.

§  Prepare global commentary on account fluctuations.

§  Prepare topside entries and reporting files using the Hyperion platform.

§  Assist with PwC external auditor requests and questions.

§  Provide support as needed to regional and local controller teams to ensure agencies are compliant with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies and procedures.

§  Assist in the development and roll out of new policies and procedures across AKM.

§  Manage ad-hoc projects as required, which may include reviewing significant or unusual accounting transactions across AKM or resolving SOX and policy issues that arise.

Desired Skills & Experience

§  3+ years corporate work experience (public / private mix is preferred, global consolidation experience in media/advertising industry a plus).

§  CPA / Path to CPA is preferred.

§  Experience in the analysis of financial statement accounts and related preparation of account variance commentary.

§  Strong Excel skills and comfortable manipulating large data sets, including pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.

§  Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and organization.

§  Interpersonal Skills: verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with professionals at all levels.
