Position Summary

 

A Reprise Media Affiliate Account Manager is responsible for leading and managing agency resources to the delivery of high-quality service and digital solutions so that all client needs are met on time, to budget and to the highest standards of service. Reporting into the Affiliate Account Director, you will also assist her in developing short and long-term strategies for the client. You will be supported by the Affiliate Account Analyst and are responsible for contributing to their development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Affiliate Marketing 

 

  • Be at the forefront of Affiliate knowledge by keeping up to date with industry news and developments 

  • Contribute in developing new products and ways of working that improve Affiliate results 

  • Build an understanding of the client’s business and digital marketing objectives 

  • Develop an understanding of the target audiences’ attitudes, behaviour and perceptions (with a focus on Affiliates), using a variety of market information and research data 

  • Develop an understanding of the various digital media channels (SEM, display, social media) and the potential for them in your clients marketing activity 

  • Establish an understanding of all areas of Reprise Media’s expertise and the products/services we can provide to your clients 

  • Help to educate the clients on Affiliate strategies and tactics; engage clients in the world of digital communications by demonstrating its direct response, creative and brand building abilities 

  • Be a trusted, knowledgeable source of information and developments in search marketing 

  • Help in preparation for and attend sales pitches as required 

  • Participate in and learn about social marketing and the impact for our clients 

 Leadership & Management 

 

  • Lead the day-to-day client relationship, campaign or project development and execution 

  • Be someone the clients and all internal teams trust to get the job done 

  • Ensure that all client campaigns follow the internal Affiliate process 

  • Be someone all internal teams and clients respect 

  • Set and manage expectations of client and internal teams, especially to ensure Reprise Media has the optimal time scale to deliver quality work and service 

  • Develop your presence, your perception as an authority/expert, your authentic confidence 

  • Be a master of our internal processes 

  • Maintain a full and detailed understanding of all recommendations and proposals 

  • Ensure that all campaigns are executed to plan through close collaboration with your Account Analyst 

  • Provide consistent and effective support to Account Directors / Senior Account Managers and Business Performance Director 

  • Prepare and lead performance review presentations 

  • Lead development of regular results analysis & reporting, recommendations and presentations 

  • Lead meetings and discussions and ensure accurate contact reports are issued within 24 hours

Client Relationships 

 

  • Develop positive relationships that reflect true partnership in achieving the objectives of the client’s business and the goals of the client 

  • Work to understand your client’s pressures and internal demands to ensure Reprise Media provides the right response at the right time in the right manner 

  • Achieve a level of relationship with your clients whereby they trust and value your opinions and advice on their digital marketing activity 

  • Be reliable; be responsive; have integrity 

 

Excellence in Client Service 

 

  • Effectively set and manage client expectations 

  • Understand individual client needs (on specific projects and beyond) so you can help them be successful in their roles, and to their bosses; ensure clients have the necessary information and materials they need to do their jobs well 

  • Ensure all media schedules, forecasts and recommendations are fit for client and it’s easy for the client to access and review the work (e.g. URLs, passwords, formats, conference call details, etc) 

  • Ensure all campaign costs are accurately quoted and campaign forecasts are approved by respective Account Director / Senior Account Manager prior to going to client 

  • Ensure media schedules are delivered to and approved by the client prior to campaign going live 

  • Ensure clients are notified immediately of changes to project scope or project costs 

  • Provide counsel to client’s marketing issues and opportunities, engaging Account Director as appropriate 

  • Have a solid understanding of the client’s business, with emphasis on their area of responsibility 

  • Have a solid understanding of the Reprise Media disciplines, ensuring that you never send on information that you do not fully understand yourself 

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in client’s business 

  • Monitor trade press relating to your client’s business 

  • Monitor your client’s competitors and their activity 

  • Positively represent Reprise Media at all times 

 

People Management 

 

§  Actively nurture the goal of making Reprise Media an enjoyable and extraordinary place for staff to work and for clients to engage with 

§  Develop the skills and knowledge of the Account Analyst through mentoring, supervision and providing continual feedback on performance 

§  Delegate the appropriate tasks and the appropriate amount of tasks to ensure an acceptable workload 

§  Keep Business Performance Director informed of Account Analyst  development and performance 

§  Identify opportunities for Account Analyst to take ownership of tasks or projects – under your supervision – to aid in her/his development; give adequate room for them to grow within their roles and eventually beyond 

§  Carry out Account Analyst performance appraisals 

 

Professional Responsibilities 

 

  • Complete timesheets on a regular, minimum weekly basis 

  • Update Affiliate Budget Sheet on a regular, weekly basis 

§  Arrive punctually at each meeting prepared to contribute, ensure thorough meeting notes are taken and distributed as appropriate 

§  Be an excellent communicator – provide clear correspondence and specifically well-written e-mails to ensure all expectations and details are understood by all 

§  Develop superior presentation skills – both in-person and over the phone 

§  Meet commitments and complete tasks as agreed and within agreed timeframes 

§  Ensure that the agency team produces all client work with the highest level of quality and integrity 

§  Work with Account Analyst to ensure all participants are prepared for meetings: book rooms and call-in numbers, distribute meeting details and presentations/materials well prior to meetings, organize food and drinks if necessary 

§  Manage up to your supervisor as appropriate, escalating issues immediately when appropriate 

§  Safeguard proprietary information of clients and Reprise Media 

§  Proactively contribute to a positive team atmosphere and company culture 

 

General & Administrative 

 

  • Ensure all documents are saved on the network drives 

  • Maintain an organized filing system on the network drives to ensure others can find documents with reasonable ease 

  • Understand how equipment works in meeting rooms/how to get internet connections for clients/etc.

Desired Skills & Experience

 

Good knowledge of performance based and affiliate marketing (B2C & B2B). 

Good knowledge of affiliate platform – Awin, Rakuten, Impact, Google Analytic 

Good knowledge of Microsoft office (Exel, Powerpoint, Word) 

Account & project management or similar relationship management experience required. 

Extremely numerate with a superb understanding of cost control. 

Sales, negotiation and problem-solving skills. 

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentational) 

Ability to multitask with effective resolution management in a fast-paced, growing environment 

Fluent English - both written and spoken 

Possess a Bachelor Degree, preferably in Marketing/Management
