Position Summary

The Analyst will perform market research on the global media and advertising marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

The Analyst will perform market research on the following topics:
  • Monitoring and forecasting global advertising markets.
  • Monitoring the growth of ad revenues among top media companies in television, internet, publishing, radio and out-of-home media.
  • Analyzing media cost inflation.
  • Analyzing key drivers (audience trends, new technologies) and trends by country (70 markets), by media category (TV, internet, etc), and spending trends by client category (retail, automotive etc).
  • The Analyst will be responsible for collecting data from various sources (internal and external to the company) in order to build, maintain and update databases of ad spend information.
  • The Analyst will be responsible for keeping our online data portal, the MAGNA Atlas, up to date and functional.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor degree: Combination of soft and hard skills i.e. economics, finance, journalism, sociology, etc. preferred
  • Superior numerical ability: familiarity with Excel required.
  • Writing & Communication skills: The Analyst will be expected to create reports that are useful to non-technical audiences, as well as manage a global network of Magna contacts (collecting and exchanging data and insights with other market research colleagues in Mediabrands agencies throughout the world).
