Position Summary

As Associate Director for the Business Intelligence function, you provide oversight and finalization of insights and optimization recommendations to clients. You lead investigations into key client issues as well as industry digital issues. You are responsible for reporting dashboard accuracy, readability and insightfulness and ensure the team is singularly focused on a high quality client deliverable. You are an active contributor during presentation of client deliverables and can take lead when called upon. You are the overseer of KPIs and measurement plan and ensure campaign goals/guidelines are addressed throughout campaign reporting.

You will be an insights partner to the Performance Acceleration lead that stewards multiple data driven media projects for this client across DMP (Adobe Audience manager), Dynamic Creative (DCO) and omnichannel data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

·       Development and implementation of client-specific measurement plans and alignment with internal and external stakeholders on reporting cadence and scope

·       Oversee the BI team’s outputs of day to day requirements and workflow of the client as it relates to Business Intelligence & Accountability

·       Responsible for presentation of research and analytics to client, with support from your team, with focus on recommendations and actionable insights

·       Partner with Initiative and IPG Mediabrands stakeholders to keep up to date on emerging measurement methodologies such as cookieless audience activation and attribution and be an ambassador of thought leadership to clients.

·       Responsible for the management and training of Business Intelligence & Accountability team in media math and analytics fundamentals

·       Help guide junior members on story-board/ narrative to provide rich insights

·       Responsible for the best practice application of analytics approach

·       Partner with MediaOps team to ensure AdOps processes are aligned with client needs

·       Serve as a primary stakeholder in brainstorming sessions with Communication Design, Digital Partnerships, Performance Acceleration, creative teams, clients and other partner agencies, and guide the conversations towards measurement requirements

·       Develop staffing and proposals for any of your client projects

Desired Skills & Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree or experience in related field 5+ years industry experience in analytics, including 2+ years of people management experience

·       Strong experience with data analytics and reporting/visualization using business intelligence platforms

·       Strong understanding of digital activation across both addressable and non-addressable channels across search, social, programmatic and mobile

·       Good grasp of adtech platforms (adservers, brand safety, DSPs)

·       SQL, Tableau or other ETL & data visualization skills a plus but not required

·       Experience with the research tools a plus: Syndicated Consumer (e.g. Simmons, MRI), Media Consumption (e.g. N-Power, Arbitron, ComScore), Paid Media Monitoring (e.g. Kantar, AdViews)

·       Knowledge of patient outcomes data sources a plus (IQVIA, Crossix, Symphony Health),

·       Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills

·       Ability to proactively drive the business forward (i.e. being able to take the initiative rather than rely on direction)

·       Ability to delegate and oversee direct reports and strong time-management and project management skills

·       Adept at maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors

·       Required PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

·       Knowledge of project management tools like Trello and Asana a plus

·       Ability to work successfully within a team, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure

We also offer a competitive Total Compensation package, including a competitive salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award or a relevant incentive award.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
