Position Summary

As Associate Director of Measurement & Analytics this role will be pivotal in managing development of research strategy and ad effectiveness measurement across client campaigns, informing in-flight optimizations, and building higher level learnings to inform future planning for a major brand. This role is for a business partnership in which our clients are highly engaged, strategically minded, and reliant on our recommendations as to what will best serve their business. The development and delivery of data-based insights is critical to how they operate. The role spans across internal and external clients globally. 
The role requires the ability to actively apply the agency’s proprietary ad effectiveness and measurement tools, as well as 3rd party vendor solutions, to determine the impact of advertising on the client’s business. The position also requires the ability to understand the strategic communications needs of client advertisers and align these needs to the day to day issues of media planning, buying, and especially performance measurement and media optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead internal agency partners to understand client’s media strategy, design measurement approaches for cross-channel campaigns, work with internal and external partners to implement, track progress in-flight, lead reporting of performance to client.
  • Create holistic analyses incorporating different campaigns and data sources that move beyond an explanation of ‘what happened’ to ‘what is important,’ ‘why it happened’ and ‘what should be done’ to help inform future strategy. 
  • Design and manage quantitative research studies on topics including brand lift, consumer behavior and the role of media, audience research and ad tracking studies.
  • Regularly present measurement and findings to internal stakeholders and senior clients on areas such as ad performance and consumer targeting.
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and professionally to senior leadership at the client and agency. 
  • Proven track record of managing a team of analytics professionals globally.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience 
  • 7-10 years of experience in agency or client side digital media planning or media research & analytics
  • Demonstrated success leading work multi-functional teams strongly preferred 
  • Expertise around brand, advertising and media research
  • Refined client-facing skills with the ability to work well up and down the command chain within an agency organization 
  • Expertise with Brand Lift Surveying, Cross-Media Measurement Solutions, MRI/Simmons, comScore, Nielsen, Kantar
  • Knowledge with reporting & data platforms such as Datorama, Tableau, SQL, R, DCM, Salesforce DMP, comScore, etc. 
  • Experience with 3rd party data providers, DMPs (e.g. Salesforce), and DSPs (e.g. DBM) 
  • Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills 
  • Demonstrated success in helping clients take concrete action based on analytics and data 
  • Strong understanding data and ad tech ecosystem, with a focus on digital environment 
  • Collaboration, including ability to drive clarity in a multi-stakeholder environment 
  • Presentation story building, development, and delivery 
  • Leadership and change management 
  • Strong written and verbal communication

We also offer a competitive Total Compensation package, including a competitive salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award or a relevant incentive award.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
