Position Summary

We are looking for you - dynamic, best-in-class talent - to join the growing UM Shopper team as an Associate. In this role you will assist in both the planning and media buying process for our top clients and help take shopper media to the next level. As an Associate, you will create, innovate, and guide UM Shopper planning and buying processes. This entry-level opportunity will kick-start your career in media and provide a platform to partner with the world’s leading consumer brands. UM Shopper is a specialty group that focuses on the planning, buying, execution and measurement of Shopper media. Shopper media is any specific media elements that are retailer focused/tagged. This can be in-store signage such as a coupon machine, a billboard driving shoppers to a Walmart store, buying digital ads on Amazon or a site and even tapping influencers that support certain retailers. The team supports both client shopper teams and ecommerce teams—our end goal measuring product sales both online and in-store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of clients’ goals and strategies, while handling ad-hoc client requests
  • Assist in shopper media discovery work
  • Assist in inputting and tracking buys and pulling system reports
  • Manage campaigns by analyzing and monitoring performance
  • Co-own the billing process with Senior Associates
  • Compile research data to help the planning teams ensure client is reaching target audience
  • Learn how to develop audience estimates for programming

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Concentration in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or Business Administration
  • Passion for media/advertising
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization skills, and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities
  • Proficiency at Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to be flexible and be a team player
  • Self-starter is a plus
