Position Summary

Initiative is a global media agency looking for a Director, Data Architecture to foster cross-functional team relationships to design & implement automated solutions. This person will lead a team of engineers and business analysts in developing Initiative’s standard global reporting suite to fuel interactive digital media dashboards for all Initiative clients

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Initiative partner data integration into AWS data warehouse for traditional and digital performance sources (30+ vendors integrated - DCM, FB, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, Ad Verification Partners, Partner data, Prisma, MBOX etc.)
  • Oversee planning and execution of all data integrations for Initiative and custom reporting deliverables for multi-market Initiative clients
  • Drive reporting automation adoption across Initiative globally by proliferating healthy data practices across markets
  • Lead the data transformation for Initiative globally and working to transition Initiative’s data infrastructure from SQL based infrastructure to AWS cloud-based solution to more effectively scale Initiative’s reporting capabilities to international clients
  • Develop strong client relationships to launch client reporting solutions and communicate Initiative performance to client leadership
  • Foster strong relationships with global data vendors (i.e. Meta, Google, Twitter, MediaOcean, etc.) to fuel the data integration
  • Mentor and developing talent within the Initiative Global Reporting team across multiple disciplines, Business Analysis, Data Engineering, Visualization Design
  • Support reporting requirements on all new client pitch work for Initiative
  • Own the client relationship related to all reporting requirements for the global reporting deliveries (Dashboards & Data Feeds to the client) to support key Initiative global clients; those with multi market scope

Desired Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or above in: Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related field. Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience are a bonus Industry:

-          5+ years' experience working in the engineering discipline within the data infrastructure domain

-          3+ years' of experience in data specific function

-          2+ years' experience managing people

-          2+ years' experience with media analytics platforms / ad tech

 Knowledge of AWS services, open-source technologies, and industry best practices * Awareness of consumer privacy regulations and their impact on technology design * Implementation of data pipelines - streaming and batch integrations - using tools/frameworks such as Lambda, Google Cloud DataFlow and Spark Streaming * Hands-on AWS cloud data experience * Prior experience working with ETLs, Python, sSQL and excel are a must
