Position Summary

Initiative is looking for a dynamic, experienced Finance Director to lead the monthly billing process for one of the agency’s largest clients. 

Key Responsibilities

·         Responsible for billing and accrual processes for US and Global markets

·         Main client contact for billing and accrual inquiries

·         Work closely with global markets to understand local billing laws

·         Ensure workflow procedures and monitors are in place to review and identify potential issues

·         Review monthly billing packages for adherence to established processes and for accuracy

·         Communicate with multiple client contacts across a number global markets and departments

·         Work closely with internal media team and with Shared Services group on client billing activity  

·         Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable

·         Assist in all client finance related needs including client audits

·         Partner with other business units and help to manage the overall client relationship

·         Manage and develop finance staff

Desired Skills & Experience

·         Bachelor's degree required in finance or accounting  

·         At least 7 years of related experience

·         Media or Advertising experience highly preferred

·         Experience interacting regularly with executives and senior managers involving complex situations, difficult decisions, or influencing and persuading other managers and peers

·         Strong international billing and operational experience

·         Knowledge of Mediaocean or similar media buying system preferred

·         Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.  

·         Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work well under pressure and in an environment of change

·         Demonstrate ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
