Position Summary

Imagine a role where you stretch your passion for building and designing user interfaces for our web portal, data warehousing and analytics platforms as a full stack developer for Amazon's media agency of record, Rufus.

You will work on re-imagined interfaces that simplfy and delight,and improve the productivity of the Rufus and Amazon teams, based on human-centered principles and an understanding of detailed workflows. 

As someone who is used to handliing the client side of web development, including visual elements and user experience (UI and UX), as well as working with the server side of web development, which includes maintaining the technology to keep the server, application, and database running, and feeds user behavior data back into your enhancements, you have:

 

  • A track record/portfolio of user experiences across UIs and/or analytics products
  • Solid computer science fundamentals in object oriented programming
  • An accute awareness regarding scalablity and stability
  • POVs on UI theming, extensibility, accessibility and frameworks, as highlighted by your portfolio
  • Experience working within an media agency or ad tech environment

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Designing application architecture
  • Using front-end and back-end programming languages
  • Designing and launching new features and enhancements (CI/CD)
  • Maintaining the quality of applications
  • Maintaining code integrity
  • Implementing and ensuring data protection and compliance
  • Writing, documenting, and executing unit testing
  • Coordinating with the Rufus team and othr IPG Mediabrands stakeholders as well as some efforts with Amazon stakeholers (such as stakeholder interviews and qualitative research) 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Related associates degree as a minimum with evidence of additonal certifications/bootcamps, or a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related field
  • Experience building web apps for the purpose of knowlege share (e.g. intranets)
  • Strong understanding of front end designs and back end APIs
  • Oversee the code repository - manage and share code (CSS, HTML5, Python, Django, nodeJs express etc.) and front-end frameworks and third-party libraries (e.g. JQuery, AngularJS, and REACT)
  • Experience with databases such as as AWS and SQLServer
  • Experience with streamlining tools like Grunt and Gulp, deploying to AWS
