In this senior role, your marketing mind and gravitas will lend itself exceptionally to our Mediabrands “front door” agency partners – UM and Initiative with whom you’ll partner every day. You will represent yourself as the public face of performance strategy for these partners, lead our impressive account portfolio and demonstrate thought leadership for them across our digital crafts.

You will lead a team of regional heads of strategy whose remit is to build a foundational bridge between Reprise capabilities and UM or Initiative’s proposition and process. This is a great opportunity to flex your leadership muscle and expertise to help deliver on clients’ objectives and grow our business across new and existing clients. You will also proactively integrate our performance capabilities across Mediabrands client teams and help drive innovative approaches from our team of talented practitioners.  

Key Areas of Focus:
  • As the Chief Strategy Officer you are responsible for the performance strategy product and output across UM, Initiative and Reprise direct clients.
  • You are responsible for bringing new performance-driven solutions to our agency partners that help enrich their performance story. 
  • You will partner closely with MBCS (Mediabrands Content Studio) to build new models and ways of working for creatively driven performance marketing.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the Reprise offering comes to life in new business in partnership with agency partners.
  • You will be tasked with driving client satisfaction and building a successful cross-agency partnership with client leads and senior agency leadership
Your mastery in performance marketing is crucial, but we equally value your collaborative spirit and ability to problem solve and lead a large team. Your ability to unearth market opportunities for clients and weave this thinking into Initiative’s or UM’s approach will help us build on our already successful partnership.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership:
  • Drive strategic alignment and partnership between Reprise and MB Partners UM and Initiative (proposition, process and tools), collaborating with executive leadership and client leads to deliver performance marketing solutions across paid and owned channels
  • Engage in a consultative role as a performance marketing expert 
  • Articulate the potential of search, social, programmatic and eCommerce as a part of a connected performance marketing approach for MB clients. Demonstrate total command of this thinking in front of the industry’s most senior leaders
Client Growth:
  • Take the front seat in all client growth activity, whether organic or new business. Work with pitch teams to integrate strategic performance thinking our market-leading approach to media
  • Work with client leads to identify and target priority clients and build powerful solutions that demonstrate our superiority in market
  • Ensure new business efforts are fully supported. Mobilize the very best resources inside of Reprise and demand excellence in the delivery of RFI/RFP materials / pitch assignments 
  • Embody our brand of thought leadership by delivering industry-influencing POVs on trending topics
Operational Excellence:
  • Identify client and agency needs for further education and training in performance marketing. Coordinate learning opportunities and the up-skilling of Reprise and Mediabrands employees, as well as interested clients
  • Represent performance expertise proudly in public forums, panels, journals, etc.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Outstanding strategic performance media experience – 15+ years in digital
  • Expertise in leading digital or performance media including search, social and eCommerce
  • Senior leadership agency experience and ownership of a portfolio of clients and teams
  • Strong POV and outlook on all things digital, performance and audience; public speaking mastery
  • Proven track record in developing and growing clients and winning new business
  • Possession of poise, gravitas, and charisma to command rooms, effect change and drive excellence
  • Adaptable in fast-paced environments; decisive, yet also skilled in building solutions and solving problems across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Inspiring leadership, with the innate ability to influence others
  • Client and department P&L experience a plus
