Position Summary

Reporting to the General Manager, the Group Director role is responsible for leading a global brand business, during a transformative time for the partnership. You are the senior lead at UM and have relationships with senior global and local client stakeholders beyond the marketing team. The Group Director is seen as the ultimate authority in Client Advice across all clients in your group, you are a true trusted advisor and business leader by the most senior client(s).
 
As a member of management, you exemplify our behaviours and drive quality of work. You work collaboratively with Strategy, Connections, Partnerships and Business Units within Mediabrands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieving positive client scores across entire group of clients
  • Contract control and scope management
  • Responsible for establishing the client remuneration structure with senior management
  • Ensuring positive client interactions with Strategy, Design, Partnerships and BUs within Mediabrands
  • Develop proactive solutions that deliver against client business objectives
  • Establish campaign analysis and optimisation frameworks
  • Ensuring the internal process is adhered to across the group and client briefs are being responded to in line with the UM brief rating system
  • Ensuring the activity overview is kept up to date by the client leads and resources are managed effectively in delivering on projects and workloads
  • Ensure quality of the connections planning process and ultimate sign-off on connections
  • Develops UM and SBU revenue action plans to achieve company budgets
  • Ownership of the financial reconciliation process and contract commercials
  • Revenue opportunities are accurately forecasted along with pipeline – monthly and quarterly
  • Develops group P&L, regularly monitors, and reports the status to the Finance Director
  • Shape the future direction of the agency

  • Natural and convincing presenter at all client interactions
  • Understands and makes use of data in developing plans to help a client business grow
  • Ability to manage a productive project team understanding differing points of view
  • Motivated and not overly reliant on direction though understands how to manage up
  • Works well under pressure and maintains composure, positively influencing others
  • Ability to professionally manage client push back at a senior level when required
  • Successfully leads the client relationship and quickly responds to feedback
  • Up to date with the communications industry and how it impacts your client’s business
  • Proactively manage all communications in a timely manner with no request going unnoticed
  • Media agency and multi-category communications experience in a senior leadership role
