Position Summary

The Rufus team act as brand guardians for one of Initiative’s key clients, Amazon. Within this dedicated team, this role focuses on Amazon Prime Video, premium streaming service, committed to shaping the future of movies and television.

This role sits as part of the Rufus (dedicated Amazon) team in the EU Hub, servicing the Amazon Prime Video client team in Europe, and working closely with the European Rufus teams. This is a pivotal role in the EU Hub, providing centralised planning guidance and project management support to both client and agency teams across Europe.

The Amazon Prime Video team at Rufus work in a dynamic, fast paced environment where innovating on behalf of consumers is at the heart of everything we do. The EU Planning Manager, Rufus EU Hub, will be responsible for working closely with the rest of the PV EU Hub, as well as the European Rufus teams to ensure that consistent planning principles are applied to all local and pan-regional campaign briefs. In addition, this role will provide coordination and management of pan-regional briefs across Europe, working closely with the Associate Directors, PV EU Hub and the rest of the EU Hub team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key member of the PV EU Hub team, managing the coordination of pan-regional campaign briefs across Europe working closely with the rest of the Hub team and individual Rufus country teams across Europe to ensure seamless execution, managing any escalation issues throughout the process 
  • Work alongside the EU local Rufus teams to deliver brilliant work and flawless execution, ensuring consistency in coordination of campaigns across EU 
  • Work with the rest of the PV EU Hub team to find ways to innovate, impress and excite client teams with planning expertise to create impactful campaigns with a high ‘talkability’ factor across Europe
  • Keep up to date with media marketplace to educate clients on the changing media landscape and the opportunities arising as a result. 
  • Apply a client lens to all locally executed plans, ensuring consistency in approach and the application of best practice planning principles in each EU country
  • Work closely with EU Rufus teams to project manage pan-regional campaign planning
  • Coordinate plans from EU countries 
  • Celebrate the successes of campaigns via internal communications 
  • Promote an open working environment where opinions, views and ideas can be shared
  • Work closely with Head of Prime Video, Europe on ad hoc projects as required
  • Partner with peers in the Global Rufus Hub to ensure the sharing of best practice and alignment in planning principles for all international releases. 
  • Ensure all administration is up to date, accurate and all internal/external deadlines are met. 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Marketing and/or Advertising and Media
  • Ability to adapt quickly to support the team from one challenge to the next. 
  • Experience with TV/Entertainment clients
  • An understanding of cultural differences across Europe, ideally with experience from working on a pan-European client with teams across Europe
  • Ability to interrogate and analyse research reports to draw conclusions and insights.
  • Able to drive projects from conception to completion; project management experience
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Proven problem solving ability 
  • Ability to work successfully within a team, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
