Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Sourcing Specialist is an integral member of the Talent Acquisition team to drive a best in class hiring experience.
The successful candidate will be able to develop strong relationships with candidates, the Talent Acquisition Team and various lines of business to address current and future hiring needs.  This individual will develop sourcing strategies, create target lists of companies, candidates, prospects and leads for current and future openings. 
You will also be responsible for planning and executing the candidate sourcing process for assigned employee groups, as needed.  This role will significantly influence our diversity, equity and inclusion objectives through targeted sourcing strategies and ensuring an excellent candidate experience.   


Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Sources passive candidates for a wide variety of roles using innovative and creative strategies including a variety of social channels, networking opportunities and partnerships
  • Builds and maintains a strong pipeline of exceptional candidates for our early career roles, high volume roles, and partners with Recruiters to build call lists for niche profiles
  • Plays a key role in developing our College and University relationships, with an eye for broadening our reach aligned to our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mandate
  • Ensures that hiring processes comply with legal requirements and Company guidelines
  • Provides support to the Talent Acquisition team where needed

Special Projects

  • Plays a key role in the annual recruitment activities around our robust internship program (The Residency) and builds positive relationships with relevant post-secondary programs with an eye for increasing our reach in alignment with our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mandate
  • Participates in relevant industry networking/social and/or campus recruitment events (virtually or in person) to promote our profile as an employer of choice
  • Supports various special projects, including Diversity work streams, employer branding, and more

  • Experience sourcing for a wide variety of roles in a high-volume environment
  • Social media savvy, with experience using various social media applications to communicate with and source potential candidates
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong technical skills, including the use of applicant-tracking systems and MS Office
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Expert relationship building and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of current talent acquisition best practices
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent education and work experience
  • Previous experience in the advertising/media, communication, digital/technology or related industries is an asset
  • Functionally Bilingual (English and French), both verbal and written, is an asset but not required
