Position Summary

The Digital Director works closely with the Head of Digital to support the agency in its next phase of digital evolution. This role is a key partner and agency contact across multiple accounts at Mediabrands. The candidate will be a Digital subject matter expert at Orion, responsible for managing the relationships for all Orion clients – they bring an innovative mindset and possesses a strong business acumen to help drive business growth. The Digital Director is expected to deliver the agency’s mission of providing strategic solutions to deliver on client business objectives, while providing valuable insights and strategic value to build successful partnerships and product offerings. This role requires you to work as part of an integrated team ensuring clear, timely messaging and reporting while delivering media intelligence to enhance the client media product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Orion Digital supply & demand pipeline, optimizing and matching supply to demand across all clients and delivering against key agency KPIs and Orion Value Goals
  • Oversight & involvement across all the pillars of Orion Digital (Social, Addressable, Partnerships etc).
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders (AORs, SBUs) on all facets of Orion digital products
  • Support the Head of Digital during partnership evaluations, negotiations, tracking & pacing
  • Collaborate with direct reports on a variety of tasks, presentations & global requests.
  • Oversee the development, training & career advancement of Digital team members.
  • Communication & collaboration with other Orion teams around the globe.
  • Provide various Orion training sessions for agencies, SBU’s & partners
  • Act as client advocate internally across all Orion groups and oversee successful execution of all facets of account management functions between the agency and client(s).
  • Work in partnership with relevant internal and external teams to build relationships and support the prioritization of projects across departments while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery that drives company growth.
  • Actively participate in staff performance reviews and other involvement where needed.
  • Development & implementation of digital processes within team and across agency. Identify and improve operational efficiencies through effective client and investment processes and approaches.
  • Create and deliver presentations where needed (internally and externally).
  • Adapt to changing business needs as Orion’s digital product evolves

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6-8 years media agency experience, particularly in a strategy and/or buying function.
  • Exceptional management and organizational skills with the proven ability to lead a team.
  • Solid relationship-building skills and presentation experience.
  • A deep understanding of the digital marketplace from products, video, mobile, programmatic and technology offerings.
  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects.  Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last-minute changes.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency.
