Position Summary

The Social Planning Manager sits at the centre of delivering performance media solutions for your clients. Reporting to the Performance Director, in this role you will be an integral part of developing best in class performance strategy across paid social campaigns to achieve your client’s business goals. You will collaborate with a team to create the most appropriate performance strategy for each client, balancing investment levels between different social platforms and audience strategies to make sure client KPIs are met. You will manage, mentor and impart your performance expertise on junior team members, guiding their personal development through their day to day client responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for bringing to life the performance media strategy and planning for your client
  • Deliver best-in-class media plans for all clients and leads using audience insights, data and expertise to create sophisticated media and investment strategies (Scope will include an average of 20 medium size projects year or 10 big projects per year)
  • Lead best in class social media strategies for your clients
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase results, test and learn opportunities and incremental social spend
  • Lead your team by example. Lead project and process management for your team and clients
  • Manage the development of your team members to excel their personal development
  • Build relationships across the agency to proactively spot opportunities to expand digital media plans for clients & supporting the new business team on media strategies and pitches as required
  • Consultation for best practices and suggestion of optimization to the implementations team
  • Liaise with your clients at a senior level on a day to day via email, phone, meeting and preparing presentation materials, campaign reporting and insights
  • Build great relationships with all your media partners and lean on them for best in class strategies

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in performance media planning experience specializing in paid social across META, Twitter, Snapchat & Tiktok etc.
  • A “lean-in” attitude and the ability to positively influence stakeholders
  • Great communication skills with the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders
  • A thirst for knowledge; understanding the digital landscape and keeping up to date with trends and technology
