Position Summary

MAGNA's clients are two-fold - media companies, technology companies, and financial institutions that rely on MAGNA's research to make informed decisions; and Mediabrand's marketers who utilize MAGNA research and bespoke analytics to make informed media investment decisions.  As the Sales Manager you will play a vital role in creating a memorable client experience and upholding our reputation as a value driving asset for MAGNA. You will directly impact our business by driving incremental revenue opportunities for MAGNA and finding creative ways to entice our new clients to engage in our products and experiences. You will also become an expert within the industry by staying up-to-date on product knowledge and becoming the driving force behind our sales. Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend, select, and help locate incremental revenue opportunities based on the client demand and open industry opportunities 
  • Be familiar with the advertising industry to provide prospective clients with best product knowledge 
  • Consistently educate clients on current offerings 
  • Foster repeat business by building relationships with existing clients and new business by building relationships with new client prospects 
  • Efficiently and accurately process sales transactions in partnership with our operations, finance and legal teams Resolve client issues through aligning to the core values of trust, integrity and respect 
  • Achieve individual and brand goals for sales, and client acquisition Participate in client programs and selling events 
  • Efficiently complete tasks or special projects assigned by MAGNA leadership

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years in a sales function or new business growth capacity, selling products and services to financial services, media or technology industries 
  • Experience meeting or exceeding revenue targets 
  • Experience in a client service, or sales environment 
  • Proven sales track record and results driven mindset 
  • Driven sales professional who meets and exceeds performance targets and upholds service standards 
  • Enthusiastic about research, insights and media partnerships with an outstanding work ethic 
  • Natural problem-solver who contributes to a collaborative work environment that encourages creative thinking and innovation 
  • Expert communicator with the special ability to build strong internal and external relationships 
  • Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high standard of client service and build exceptional client relationships 
  • Knowledge of the media industry and a passion for sharing your expertise 
  • Ability to act promptly in routine situations and see a clear plan of action to a positive result in the client’s eyes
