Position Summary

We are looking for you - dynamic, best-in-class talent to join our Corporate Finance team here at Initiative. In this position, you will play a role in managing the financial operations for one of our largest, well-known clients while also guiding and supporting the team on the monthly billing process.  This is a highly visible position, as you will play an integral role in both the finance team, as well as the client team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute estimate and reconciliation billing according to monthly client calendar 
  • Prepare accruals and billing upload files on a bi-monthly basis
  • Audit, process, and code invoices for production and other third party non-working expenses
  • Maintain all production billing worksheets 
  • Review aging report monthly and coordinate with client lead and internal accounting team on past due invoices
  • Resolve discrepancies and troubleshoot with internal teams of all crafts 
  • Work with shared services team to resolve billing issues
  • Respond to vendor requests for Accounts Payables information
  • Audit new vendor setup request documents as needed
  • Manage product code setup with internal teams and maintain product code trackers
  • Facilitate daily internal Finance/Billing team status meetings
  • Manage bi-weekly client meeting notes and action items
  • Develop and implement process improvements for the Finance/Billing team
  • Ad hoc financial operations projects as necessary 
  • Assist in the professional development of two billing coordinators

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Business) or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in a Billing/Finance position within a media/advertising company
  • Strong skills in Excel is a requirement of this position
  • Great phone ethics/communication skills are necessary in dealing with both outside vendors and agency personnel
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors
  • Mediabank and SAP experience preferred
  • Highly detailed oriented
  • Enthusiastic, problem-solving attitude
