Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned deal-maker and manager to lead our media & deal strategy covering partner monetization efforts nationally. The role sits on the central media solutions team. This is a unique opportunity to take a leadership position on how Interactive Avenues structures and executes agreements with media companies and creators. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex contract negotiations with a solid understanding of the evolving media landscape locally. This person must have experience building and managing large relationships and/or responsible for strategic negotiations across verticals. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to execute programs and partnerships that drive meaningful value. You will work closely with the local teams, who serve as the primary clients for this role, as well as operations and legal, among others, to deliver results. The Partnerships lead at Interactive avenues works closely with the leading partners in the world & in local markets, is responsible for both managing those relationships and driving product adoption. You should have managed clients with overall budget of 100 Cr.


Key Responsibilities

Agency Leadership

  • Our Vice President – Media will lead the entire media mandate of the region which works in collaboration with the business head & the national media head.
  • This role will focus on the standardization of media services and capabilities, working closely with the media operations team to activate training programs, resource optimization initiatives, internal auditing, resource management, and service integration.
  • Lead/facilitate the Media Strategy and Media Planning processes for their book of business across all paid media channels: search, display, social and affiliate disciplines to enable holistic cross-channel strategies and activation plans.
  • Have ultimate responsibility for the execution of the client campaigns with operational excellence and relentless pursuit of performance with across all IA shared services.
  • Work collaboratively across functions such as Analytics & Technology, Planning and Insights and Performance Content to build strategies to improve the effectiveness of multichannel media programs.
  • Communicates efforts, wins and any other information appropriate to the Executive team; helps ensure Performance Media Strategic vision and work are understood and visible to the industry, the clients, and the broader agency.
  • Merchandise the brand via blog posts, case studies, and speaking engagements.
  • Develop holistic media planning processes to personalize the consumer experience enabling customer data to generate efficiencies in all media channel executions.
  • Collaborate with all shared services and the Client Solutions team to drive consistent training and solutions across channels.

Client Leadership

  • Interface with select senior client executives to provide thought leadership on media strategies, tactics, and performance, as well as other emerging media opportunities.
  • Partners with Client Solutions leads in developing key strategic approaches for cross-selling of media products and services to influential client decision-makers.
  • Understand and adopt new techniques and technologies that are relevant to clients’ media strategies.
  • Collaborates with heads of Operations on the execution of client campaigns ensuring operational excellence and the relentless pursuit of optimal performance.
  • Drive integration internally and new business externally.
  • Keeps current on the latest within the holding company and industry at large, ensuring the practice evolves ahead of key competitors and threats. 

Revenue Enhancement

  • Continuous focus on revenue retention, increasing product adoption and media spending.
  • Partners with Client Solutions to define a workflow for cross-selling.
  • Supports marketing efforts.
  • Participate in new business processes.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Support the role of the Media Directors and help their development at the agency.
  • Establishes and encourages a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Motivates, leads and manages internal teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our client’s business objectives.
  • Responsible for developing a management team that focuses on client and employee development. Mentors and coaches Media Directors.
  • Conducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports. Encourages attendance in training programs to build and develop new skills and capabilities.

Process Improvement

  • Enforces development and documents of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the Group.
  • Sets standards on new optimization tools/techniques.
  •  Ensure the highest standards are met and that execution remains best in class.


Desired Skills & Experience

Skills

             Ability to forecast expected outcomes of Brand and ROI campaigns and manage to spend accordingly

             Proven expertise with relevant platform tools (DoubleClick Bid Manager, Google Adwords tools, Facebook tools etc), Media Research Tools (Comscore, GWI, TGI etc)

             Strong written and verbal communication skills

             Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking

             Superb client relationship and management skills

             Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box

             Detail oriented and responsive, deadline-driven with strong quantitative reasoning skills

             Provide timely and actionable feedback to the team to aid in their development and improvement

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred; MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
  • 12+ years of progressive media planning, leadership, and management responsibility.
  • 6-8 years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people.
  • Proven experience in delivering clear, strategic presentations to C-level marketing executives.
  • Deep understanding of cross-channel paid media planning,
  • High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks.
