Position Summary

The Client & Reporting Director (Group Business Director) is the leader for all Orion Australia Client & Agency Relationships and is responsible for all client and commercial reporting of the business for Australia.

The role encompasses overseeing first and foremost our client relationships – delivering our commitments to clients including some of Australia's biggest retailers and financial institutions. Based in Sydney you will oversee clients in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth & Brisbane; overseeing client growth opportunities, service excellence, client advisory performance and commercial review.

Foster relationships with Orion stakeholders within Mediabrands to enhance agency and client relationships. Demonstrate expertise and creative thinking of the Orion product to ‘solve’ agency and client issues. Deliver accurate commercial reporting for the business, compliance of contracts and standardization of Orion process to remove barriers to growth.

The role is a key position within Orion Australia. As a leader you will be a key contact for our clients and agency partners, promoting the brand and customizing product offerings to help us win and retain business as well as delivering service excellence with a passion for innovation.

Your strength in the area of product development in the area of Media Barter frameworks will be a key attribute to the build of Orion’s product strategy build for Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities, conduct prospecting research and drive existing incremental business and barter opportunities.
    • Market expert for Barter (Corporate Trade) knowledge resource for clients, agencies and group business, involved in new business pitches and commercial proposals.
    • Lead the launch of the E-Commerce Orion website & take on all sales distribution for our barter product.
    • Drive the quality and development of the Orion product offerings, translating strategies into tactics; ensure team deliverables align with agency partner strategies.
  • Manage business development projects for the market and communication of those projects.
    • Manage and grow existing relationships with global and local clients and agency partners.
    • Understand client business to develop strategic action plans.
    • Collaborate with other departments to maximize client billings.
    • Deliver Bespoke reporting to clients of Orion savings.
    • Participate in internal and external sales efforts as required.
    • Collaborate across all departments as they interact with agency brands, shared services, clients, and vendors to align business processes with superior solutions and the delivery of Orion products and services.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing project parameters and deadlines. Collaborate across Mediabrands specialist business units on all new business efforts.
    • Forecast & Budgeting for the AU business on an ongoing basis, figures reported directly to AU & Global leadership.
    • Manage all legal contracts from compliance to drafting contracts to negotiations to execution
    • Support all initiatives for identifying, generating and supporting new client opportunities.
    • Build Orion position across key client and direct business channels.
    • Work with Wider Mediabrands Business Units to ensure client pipeline is maximized.

  • Build, nurture and expand media vendor partner relationships to grow organic revenue.
    • Establish and negotiate annually agreeable Pre-Paid media contracts with vendors to drive value for our barter clients.
