Position Summary

UM is a strategic media planning and buying agency. Over the last three years, UM has been growing from strength to strength in the Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia and Singapore. We have recently been awarded several industry accolades including the APAC Media Network of the Year 2020 & 2021, Southeast Asia Media Agency of the Year 2020 & 2021,  Singapore Media Agency of the Year (Bronze) in 2021 from Campaign Asia.

We are looking for a Client Manager to join our dynamic and fast-growing dynamic organisation. We are looking for someone with drive, experience and a strong performance record in delivering client leadership and leading high-performance teams.

 

This candidate will be working closely with the Client Director to scale and grow the business in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

(A) Client and Account Management

·     Professional demeanour and a strong capability to communicate effectively and engage clients on a day-to-day basis from taking on briefs, present media plans and manage day-to-day campaign implementation

·     Able to multi-task and manage across different client requirements

·     Good writing and presenting skills are a pre-requisite

·     Support Client Director to drive account leadership including engagements with senior as well as middle management client stakeholders to deliver excellence in the areas of media and communications strategy, media innovation and media operations (media planning and buying).

 

(B) Media Planning and Operations

 ·     Strong foundational knowledge of media developments especially for the local Singapore context, and capable of building relationships with key media partners in the marketplace to look for new opportunities and drive innovation.

·     Able to independently drive media recommendations, implementation and reporting with the support of media planners, executives and buyers.

This will require basic skillsets such as the ability to recommend and rationalise media touchpoints, channels, tactics and outcomes as part of media planning scope. Guide planners to be able to generate, read and analyse media data to create insights for presentations as overall support to build an overall strategy.

·       Digital planning skillsets are necessary with a knowledge of the digital eco-system, platforms and tools although implementation experience across all platforms including search, programmatic are not a must. Experience with Facebook Business Manager is preferred.

 

Team Player

·     The candidate should be a team player and preferably would have experience leading junior team members including planners, senior planners.

·     Apart from having worked within integrated media teams comprising of Integrated Media Managers, Integrated Media Planners as well as Media Buyers, the Manager we are looking to hire, must be able to work with cross functional teams comprising of Specialist Business Units in the areas of Performance, Programmatic, Social and Content, Ecommerce, Data and Analytics.

The desired outcome is to elevate UM’s product delivery to deliver business outcome for our clients, drive Innovation and build recognition for the agency with clients and for the industry.

Desired Skills & Experience

·       Tertiary educated 

·       At least 4-5 years of experience in Media/Advertising

·       Experience and confidence working with multiple stakeholders, e.g. suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners, production outfits, and internal specialist resources etc.

·       Have an appetite, knowledge, and understanding of the technology and trends

·       Team player who is adaptive, has a great work ethic, and strong communication and presentation skills
