Position Summary

The Manager of Decision Sciences leads an integral part of insight generation and advanced analytics for the agency and clients. This role requires understanding data at its atomic level and how to stitch diffuse datasets together to form cogent narratives for clients. This is for a business partnership where our clients are highly intelligent and engaged and also trust us and care what we think. The insight relationship matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to create analyses that move beyond an explanation of ‘what happened’ to ‘what is important,’ ‘why it happened’ and ‘what should be done’.
  • Manipulate & architect large datasets to analyze the state of our clients’ businesses across multiple dimensions (sales, brand equity, search interest, website visits, social media, advertising activity)
  • Apply advanced statistical methods to make predictions as to how marketing changes we recommend will impact client business
  • Comfort developing business relationships to source higher quality and greater volumes of new data
  • Collaborate with ad-operations, programmatic, planning, and investment teams to affect improvements on our client’s business goals
  • Apply substantial amounts of independent critical thinking, and from your analyses, uncover media and marketing communications opportunities
  • Forecast audience and campaign performance benchmarks to provide optimization diagnostics

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Expert level knowledge of predictive modeling techniques and connecting media and business variables to key business outcome variables
  • Strong knowledge of digital media reporting platforms such as DCM, DoubleClick Search, Facebook, DSPs and other digital reporting platforms
  • Knowledge of statistical software packages and coding languages (eg SAS, SPSS, R, Python) a plus, or Alteryx or other statistical modeling tool
  • Knowledge of a SQL based database management language is a nice to have
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly and efficiently present information visually to internal and client teams
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Quantitative / Science field or 5 – 10 years experience in an analytical field
  • Media/marketing experience strongly preferred

We also offer a competitive Total Compensation package, including a competitive salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award or a relevant incentive award.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
