Position Summary

The Client Manager is responsible for inspiring the client team and being a trusted adviser to our clients. As the main point of contact for the Marketing team you are an expert in managing multiple client stakeholders and delivering exceptional service. The Client Manager will lead a portfolio of brands working in close collaboration with the Client Services team.
You will have strong strategic planning skills in managing multiple brands of a similar scale. Leading the UM planning process on all key briefs, you will ensure campaigns are executed seamlessly and innovatively, along with client KPIs being met. Equally you will be charged with team functionality and performance management, leading best practice in more effective and efficient ways of working.
You are the day-to-day client lead and you keep your Group Director ahead of the game with your category expertise, status updates and proactive guidance. You are an authority on the client business to UM. You are an authority on UM and Mediabrands business to the client. You are providing advice continually and being seen as a trusted advisor to them and their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering positive client satisfaction scores.
  • Responsible for leading the client relationship through all interactions.
  • Create, lead and manage the work-back schedules for all briefs. Ownership of the activity overview with weekly updates to the Group Director.
  • Quality control of the connections planning process and being part of the final sign-off on the connections plan with ultimate responsibility laying with the Group Director.
  • Constant consideration to awards approach and tracking campaign results.
  • Responsible for an allocation of the client remuneration structure with your Group Director.
  • Expert in the client contract inclusions and what is not considered within contract.
  • Commercial part responsibility of group budgets and the business drivers in achieving these budgets.
  • Develop proactive solutions that deliver against client business objectives.
  • Ownership of the financial reconciliation process and contract commercials.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Multi-category communications experience.
  • Ability to professionally manage client push back at a senior client level when required.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage a productive and happy project team and provide visibility to Group Director.
  • Self-starter and ablility to work autonomously.
  • Works well under pressure and maintains composure, positively influencing others.
  • Ability to track client revenue and provide updates to senior management.
  • Develops effective business plans with your Group Director.
  • Results focused and sets high goals for self and others.
  • Comfortable in challenging status-quo with the client, ensuring client receives the best results.
