Position Summary
We seek a dynamic and passionate individual to fill the position of Senior Quality Engineer (Test Automation). The candidate must have a firm grasp of end-to-end test automation execution that includes a great understanding of test automation frameworks, test automation tools, and their execution in Agile & CI/CD environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine the estimated level of effort for test planning purposes.
- Develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions in the areas of Test Automation, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, and Shift Left Testing.
- Design, Develop and Execute end-to-end manual/automated tests based on User Stories and Acceptance Criteria in different platforms for both UI/API.
- Identify required improvements to existing test automation suites (UI/API).
- Log and track issues from testing, verify bug fixes and run regression tests of other impacted features and verify all releases before and after deployment to production.
- Work with existing and new software functionality to deliver software solutions including workflow automation, functional libraries, data comparison tools, and test and measurement solutions.
- Actively contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies in Planning, Grooming, Review, Retrospective, and Daily Standup.
- Contribute to Quality process improvement, feature discussions, design, and code reviews.
- Contribute to the release process.
- Effectively communicate complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting many products on varied release cycles.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of test automation experience on multi-tiered web-based applications, with an emphasis on automated testing techniques.
- Strong in developing and maintaining test automation scripts using automation tools such as (Python/Cypress/Selenium/Node.js/Cucumber).
- Strong SQL skills (any RDBMS), Data Analysis, and Data Testing skills.
- Proficiency in Python & SQL programming.
- Understanding of data development life cycle (Big Data/BI (Analytics)/Data Warehouse)
- Experience working in Continuous Build/Integration environments and using code repository and defect tracking tools (Jenkins and Jira).
- Experience with SCRUM and AGILE methodologies and understanding of leveraging them to achieve Quality Assurance needs to be required in product deliveries.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Workflow Management Tools like Apache Airflow / Dagster.
- Knowledge of Snowflake Database.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with Chrome DevTools, Zephyr, Swagger, SonarQube, Splunk, Docker.
- Knowledge of source control systems such as CVS, Subversion, or GIT is a plus.
- Experience in testing Angular-based web apps.
- Experience developing mocking mechanisms.
- ISTQB Certifications.
