Position Summary

This role is to lead the global strategy team for all business units on LEGO. It is a senior leadership role within the agency and requires management of a high performing, cross functional strategy department – from brand through to performance. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the senior stakeholder relationship within the LEGO organisation and being able to identify, pitch and drive strategic recommendations for the business, beyond campaign work. 
  • Developing the next iteration of our established thought leadership agenda. This will include authoring trend and insight POVs pertaining to the media habits of adults and children, new product development opportunities, and industry specific presentations. This work is designed to help educate and aid client understanding of new opportunities and ultimately facilitate the growth of our relationship with them.
  • Annual marketing planning formulation, including the ability to spot cross-theme opportunities to aid organization, and efficiencies of scale within planned paid & owned media activations
  • Always on support to key client contacts, able to act as a sparring partner often at short notice
  • Ability to present confidently to C-level client contacts across a range of topics, both within the usual wheelhouse of a media agency & outside, if the opportunity arises
  • In depth understanding of full funnel media planning and ability to create comprehensive strategies and plans at a global level that can be activated in local markets
  • Management of Director level internal team workloads, and development of strategic capabilities

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an integrated planning role within media, creative, innovation or communications discipline (digital, content, invention, social, activation) 
  • Ability to think differently: creative & adaptive, entrepreneurial, independently-minded; deeply immersed in cultural understanding and driven by a desire to know more the world / to better understand people’s motivations & behaviors in the shifting landscape
