The Group Performance Strategy Director (GPSD) will be a highly experienced, senior strategist with a proven track record of leading and collaborating effectively with Craft teams to deliver exceptional performance strategy solutions for clients. With a solid understanding of all three EMC (Experience, Media and Content) disciplines, the GPSD will be responsible for communicating authoritatively to senior audiences across the breadth of Performance-driving crafts.

As a GPSD, you will be the sole Reprise leader on major stream pitches, demonstrating the ability to lead and communicate effectively with global/regional C Suite stakeholders both internally, with Mediabrands, other IPG agencies, and with clients. A performance strategy evangelist, you will have a proactive and self-directed approach, with experience leading and winning big pitches and/or successfully growing big clients, as well as the ability to innovate and develop your own strategic frameworks/processes.

You are a keen and accomplished coach with experience in developing junior staff; whether or not you have line management responsibility. You will also have a strong work ethic and hold yourself to the highest standards irrespective of the audience for your work. You’re an expert-level storyteller, a natural at translating complex data into simple and compelling narratives and delivering regular, impactful thought-leadership. You will have the capability to work under tight deadlines, be reliable and organized, and be willing to go the extra mile when needed.

Team Contribution:

  • Elevate the output of the Strategy team with consistent contribution to and mentoring of the wider team, helping to develop the team’s skills and knowledge
  • Work collaboratively with the other strategy leaders to share best practice and ensure a consistent approach across all Reprise strategy work.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Group Performance Strategy Partner, Chief Strategy Officer, and other IPG agencies
  • Represent Reprise as a thought-leader at industry events and conferences
  • Ensure the best possible standard of strategic contribution to the team, leading to successful outcomes with the Client Success and Business Development teams.
  • Help grow and promote the team’s value, impact, and positive culture across the Reprise UK&I business and at an EMEA & Global level.
The Strategy Craft:
  • Lead performance strategy across a portfolio of our clients, working closely with the Client Success Directors and intra-stream leadership to ensure our strategy remains relevant and best in class across your client list.
  • Support client retention and client growth, working hand in hand with the Client Success leads and intra-stream peers on your client list.
  • Lead strategy across the new business processes from end-to-end, across either red or blue stream, direct or inter-IPG pitches.
  • Work closely with other members of the strategy team, research and insights and EMC craft teams to pull in the right resource for client and new business work. Specifically:
  • Direct our research and insights teams towards the work required on all your projects to build clarity on the market and the target audiences.
  • Develop smart segmentation and positioning for the strategy
  • Brief and work with Media craft teams and refine into holistic strategic direction across new business and client briefs.
  • Coach junior talent in building their own confidence when working on bigger agency pitches
  • Use our proprietary tools, best in class 3rd party platforms and our global operating system – FLOW- to frame the strategy and the key levers and triggers we will use.
  • Ensure our strategies work closely and align to wider agency strategy on all channel accounts or pitches.
  • Develop your understanding and commitment to crafts outside of your core expertise, including emerging crafts, with a view to delivering as broad a strategic remit as each project requires.

  • Experience in delivering and leading strategic work across the breadth of performance crafts, across Experience, Media, and Content.
  • Ability to distil complex data into clear and actionable insights that drive tangible results for the business.
  • Confident in presenting and defending strategic work to a range of audiences, including C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to breadth of audiences on your strategic journey, orchestrating, leading and inspiring teams of varying seniority levels.
  • Confident in speaking up and taking ownership to drive change, inspiring trust and encouraging others to do the same.
  • A natural role model, focused on what’s important for the future of the team and the business.
  • Clear track record in leading and winning large-scale pitches and/or growing big clients, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes.
  • A self-starter with a proactive approach, who can demonstrate the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward to achieve desired results.
  • A creative problem-solver with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions that add value to clients.
  • Strong commercial acumen that underpins all strategic and creative decisions.
