Position Summary

As an SEO Content Lead, you will have a solid understanding of the SEO industry, best-practices and the fundamental requirements in ensuring strong SEO performance. You should have a particular interest in the content side of SEO, and how an effective content strategy can support the wider SEO strategy.

Your core duties will include leading the content analysis and strategy on your client accounts and projects, liaising with the wider account team including UX, content and client services to deliver this to the client.

Key Responsibilities

·       Conducting content audits to assess current content performance and identifying gaps

·       Analysing competitors’ sites to establish what is working well from a content perspective

·       Developing insight-led content strategies that support client’s objectives

·       Preparing and presenting PowerPoint presentations on the content audit results/content strategy to clients

·       Liaising with the content, UX, client services and other internal teams to ensure strategy alignment

·       Reviewing keyword research, and where necessary feeding back or making changes to ensure this is comprehensive and the client has a ‘right to rank’

·       Conducting SERP analysis to identify changes/features that should be considered as party of the content strategy

·       Using in-house tools, as well as third-party tools such as Ahrefs and SEMRush to inform recommendations

·       Analysing performance data in Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to establish effectiveness of content recommendations

·       Effectively manage time to ensure deadlines are met

·       Keeping on top of the latest developments and changes in SEO, specifically updates that impact content

·       Contributing to team meetings by sharing updates, knowledge and best practice

·       Supporting the SEO Content Exec with their development

·       Any other duties as deemed fit by the business

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working in an SEO or digital content focused role  
  • A strong understanding of SEO and best-practices
  • Proficient with SEO tools and platforms, preferably Ahrefs, SEMRush, GA, AA and GSC
  • Be able to work well within a team
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • The ability to use Excel and formulas to a competent level
  • Confident presenting to clients
  • Strong writing skills and ability to communicate well with others
  • Degree level or equivalent preferred
