Rufus, powered by Initiative, is Amazon’s dedicated media and communications agency working across retail, device, Flex, Amazon Web Services and Prime Video. We are part of IPG Mediabrands, a division of the Interpublic Group. We work together with inmany colleagues from our sister companies; Reprise, Matterkind and Yune. We work in so-called "Crafts" – Client Advice & Management, Strategy, Communications Design, Business Consultancy and Content & Partnerships. 

We are looking for someone for the role that is part of the Communications Design craft working for our client Amazon Prime Video. The people within this craft are the architects of the entire media ecosystem. They translate the strategy into an integrated mediaplan. We don’t look at the effects per channel, but we look at the total campaign experience (ecosystem planning). With the aim of optimizing every contact of a brand with the target group to the max.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Comms Design Director on Amazon Prime Video you are responsible for generating and producing consumer, media, culture and market insights, which contribute to the creation of a media ecosystem for your clients. 
  • Together with strategy and CAM's you determine the direction for the plan. And after that you work independently on designing the resource ecosystem. 
  • For the realization of this, you brief the specialists within Mediabrands (Content & Partnership, Magna, Reprise, Matterkind and Marketing Sciences) and also work closely with them. 
  • You use our tools to calculate different channel and budget scenarios (incl. owned, earned, shared and paid), taking into account the business objectives of the client. 
  • You analyse the various ROI analyses and give advice for the best scenario based on insights and data. 
  • On the job, you'll expand your knowledge of communication planning, learn how brands grow, what contributes to their success and what diverse communication strategies include and how they can make a difference. You are aware of the newest planning methods and insights (in industry, customer, category) and share them within your Craft and customer team. Within the company, you regularly share new insights, new platforms or beautiful ideas that have been presented to your customers. 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • HBO/WO education or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (various mediatypes) on agency side. 
  • The ability and enough knowledge of different media channels on and offline to be able to challenge, defend and lead the cross-channel planning of the account.
  • Being able to work successfully within a team, on multiple projects running simultaneously and under the pressure of tight deadlines. 
  • Good relational skills to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and publishers. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. 
  • Stress resistant. 
  • Strong presentation skills.
